Procurement of Submarines
Honourable Company of India
The Honourable Company of India hereby invites sealed bids from duly authorized and qualified suppliers for the procurement of 16 conventionally or nuclear-powered submarines for the Honourable Company Navy. All submission must strictly comply with the minimum technical and financial requirements detailed below.
Minimum Technical Specifications
- Speed: Maximum speed must be, or exceed, 17 knots when surfaced and 20 knots when submerged.
- Range: Minimum range must be, or exceed, 11,000 km with snorkel and 740 km submerged.
- Crew: Complement must not exceed 130 personnel.
- Armament: Submarine class must be able to carry mines, torpedoes, and some form of air defence. Submarines that can carry cruise missiles will be treated more favourably in this tender.
Financial Requirements
- Unit Price: The price per unit must not exceed USD 1,000,000,000.00.
Please also offer the additional detail on whether a domestic production licence is available with the purchase of these submarines.
The Honourable Company of India reserves the right to reject any or all bids, wholly or partly, and to annul the tender process without assigning any reason thereto.
