| PROJECT INFORMATION | The BPGFB aims to build 100 small, “castle”-like fortified border posts along the Iraqi–Iranian and Iranian–Turkish–Iraqi borders. Each outpost consists of a rectangular main building with two diagonally opposite towers attached. The fortress is constructed from reinforced concrete to withstand small arms fire and machine guns, and is supported by an inner layer of sand and a 15 cm external steel grid structure designed to protect against shaped-charge warheads such as the RPG-7. The structure includes two main entrances with steel gates, a drone (Mohajer-2) launch ramp on the flat roof, three internal garages—one for a T-72Z tank and two for EE-11 vehicles or standard trucks—a helicopter landing area on top, and a communication mast. It is also connected via underground telephone lines to other posts, police units, and military commands (Regional Police Guard Command, Tehran HQ, and Army Command Isfahan HQ). The facility is designed to accommodate 70 personnel across two floors, with a basement for storage. |
