PROJECT INFORMATION | The Offshore and Onshore Natural Gas Development and Pipeline Project includes the following: 1. Shwe Gas Project Located offshore from Rakhine state, in the Bay of Bengal (Blocks A-1 & A-3). A total reserve of ~9.1 trillion ft3 (~260billion m3) is located there, with a production of ~700 MMcf/day (~7.3 bcm/year). A 40-inch pipeline from Sittwe and Kyaukpyu will deliver gas to Myanmar's local infrastructure and north to China at ~4 MMcf/day. 2. Yadana Gas Project Located offshore in the Andama Sea (~60 km from mainland). A total reserve of ~150 billion m3 (~5.3 tcf) is located there, with a production of ~8bcm/yeah. A pipeline from Yangon delivers the gas to the south of the nation, with the pipeline reaching down to Thailand, though is not yet actively exporting the gas. 3. Yetagun Gas Project Located offshore from Tanintharyi (Blocks M-12, M-13, and M-14). A total reserve of ~90 billion m3 (~3.2 tcf) is located there, with a production of 250MMcf/day (~2.5bcm/year). A pipeline is located in Tanintharyi, planned to export to Thailand. 4. Zawtika Gas Project Located in the Gulf of Martaban. A total reserve of ~56.6 billion m3 (~2 tcf) is located there, with a production of ~400MMcf/day (~4bcm/year). — During the construction of the pipelines, a total of 27,500 jobs will be created. Permanently, this project will ensure 19,500 people are employed throughout the nation. |
