The people within the microstate of San Marino have never felt the tension in the air like today. for the first time in the nations long and winding history has their been such a close election between the two possible "Captains Regent" The first duo is the incumbent Regents Filippo Tamigimi and Gaetano Troina they push on the conservative ideals of status quo and a closer relationship to the Italian kingdom and expand their relationship. Yet in the past year and a half a new wave of young marinese have looked to the more radical Giorgio Manin and Paolo Manin. both brothers push for a closer relationship to foreign powers such as russia, germany and france. They also push for the formation of an official army and industrialization of the nation.
The Manini brothers platform is officially known as the viola dell'arancio and the Tamigimi and Troina platform is known as the tradizionalmente. As the voting period drew near the people of San-Marino grew restless many understood that this election was an important one for them. Many may overlook San Marino due to its size but to these people they understood that this will change everything for them. 6 hours... 3 hours... 1 hour... 5... 4.... 3...2...1... the voting period has ended the 4 candidates pace back and forth in their respective rooms waiting for the results

The vote was incredibly close a mear 16% vote difference but when all is said and done the Manini brothers came out on top. Congratulations to the viola dell'arancio Party for their first ever electoral victory.
