The Soviet Union was a colossal entity, spanning from the Baltic sea to the Bering strait it controlled 1/6 of earths surface. It was a nation founded on warfare out of the Russian civil war during the 1920's came the Soviet Union. the 1940's saw the Soviets beat back the destructive force that was the Reich. Then the cold war turned the west against the red star. Despite the Soviet Union was an important counter balance to the United states from the 1950's to the 90's. During our modern era the Soviet Union is viewed as a black stain on the world a nation that is better left forgotten. But unbeknownst to anyone the Uzbek SSR, the last remnant of the Soviet Union has long been in the shadows.
The Uzbek President recently held the "Tashkent Communication" was a meeting between Islam Karimov (Leader of the Uzbek SSR) and all the former Central Asian SSR leaders. with their support Isman Karimov was declared as head of the supreme soviet. formally transforming Islam Karimov overnight into the official President of the Soviet Union.
The following transcription is of Islam Karimov's most recent announcement to his nation
"Hello to the many citizens of Uzbekistan, This is your leader Islam Karimov. I would like to start this broadcast by going over the history of our great state. although our story starts way before the point of my retelling I am going to start at the tragic year of 1873. Uzbekistan was formerly under the control of the Khanate of Khiva an occupying force that forced control over Uzbekistan through conquest and occupation. Then a saving grace arrived to save us, The Russian Empire. We welcomed them as liberators, Heros to the Uzbek people. then our liberators turned into our new occupiers, stripping us of our rights and forcing us to submit to their Tsars word. 50 Years go by with little to no freedoms. Finally in 1922 the Imperial Russians fell to make way for the Soviets. Akin to our former occupiers we were fearful. yet, unlike the Imperialists the Communists were different. They Gave us representation within the USSR, gave us the ability to be equal to the rest of Russia. Uzbekistan was supported, modernized and developed by the Soviet Union. Yet in the year 1991 they collapsed. We went into a civil war in 1992 that ended in 1994 to protect our freedoms from the west. We have long claimed as being the last vestige of the red star. Now we claim our rightful place as leader of the Hammer and Sickle. I Islam Karimov declare Uzbekistan as the first SSR under the New Soviet Union!"
