Election night in Iraq

As the clock struck midnight, the voting booths were officially closed. Thousands of supports gathered at their respective party HQs, as the votes begun to be counted. All major Iraqi media outlets were broadcasting live, with feeds being shared on the wire to international media who might wish to cover the unfolding events.

The candidates for the Presidency were gathered with their families back stage as their respective events. It would be a long night for all the candidates, but only one could win.

The first results were expected in one hour from Basra in the South. The Iraqi electric grid would report a surge in demand as families across the countries tuned in to see who would come out on top.
